The world-famous TEDx talks come to Enniskillen for the very first time!
TEDx began in 1984 and is devoted to spreading ideas with short powerful talks. TEDx covers all kinds of topics, from business to science, entertainment and so much more. TEDx is now a world-famous brand within and hosts events all over the world and in more than 100 languages!
The TEDx Enniskillen event is brought to you by Emma Weaver, who is from Enniskillen. We sent Emma a few questions about the event –
Q. A little bit about yourself?
I am a mum of 3, founder of mental Wealth International, and a best-selling author of the blue line.
Q. Why Tedx? (what you do feel Tedx can bring as an event)
I am a two-time TEDx speaker and understand the impact sharing your idea worth spreading can have in those who need to hear it. I feel everyone has power in their voice and to bring this event and opportunity to Enniskillen is an honor.
Q. How many speakers will there be?
Sarah Travers is hosting & we will feature a group of 16 speakers who will deliver short talks on a variety of issues, from mental health to civil society
Q. Have you been to a Tedx event yourself?
I’ve been to lots of TEDx events and enjoy listening to TED talks regularly. There is a TED talk for everything.
TEDx talks are the ultimate public speaking platform.
Q. Who is your target audience for the event? (who would benefit from
attending the event)
Everyone wanting to expand their knowledge and be more curious about things should come to the event.
There is so much potential to show the world what Fermanagh has to offer. As TEDx is a global stage with a global audience.
