Charlie’s Bar is nestled in the heart of Enniskillen, a charming island town in Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.

Their establishment is not just any pub, they are Enniskillen’s most well-established traditional tavern and proudly hold the title of the oldest family-run bar in the town.

The beloved bar bears the name of its founder, Charlie Burns, who happens to be the proprietor’s father. The Burns family has been the custodian of this establishment since 1944, when Charlie dedicated himself to serving farmers, locals, and even American troops stationed nearby at Castle Archdale.

Upon Charlie’s retirement, his son Gerry took the reins and embarked on a substantial renovation that revitalized the space. More recently, Gerry’s daughter, Una, has stepped up to oversee the day-to-day operations.

Charlie’s Bar is a haven for those who appreciate a quality drink, and they proudly hold the title of serving ‘The Best Guinness in Enniskillen,’ as confirmed by the Guinness Guru. When you pay them a visit, you can count on receiving a warm ‘Fermanagh Welcome’ from our friendly staff on both sides of the bar.

The establishment exudes a cozy, traditional ambiance, complete with an inviting open fire and a convenient Off-Sales service. It also provides complimentary Wi-Fi, and they are happy to welcome your four-legged friends, so there’s no need to leave anyone behind when you go for a visit!

Charlie’s has various events throughout the year, from live gigs, to open mic nights, storytelling, traditional Irish music, and more. To view all the events at Charlie’s, please click the button below.
